Most of KAWAIIGLOW’s customers arrive from Instagram and TikTok, already charmed by the products. The store’s job is to not break the spell: keep the pastel, playful world of the brand alive while quietly doing everything a serious e-commerce site must do, load fast, show the product clearly and make paying effortless on a phone.
The brief
The brief was a store that felt as fun as the products while making the path from product page to paid order as short as possible. Character without clutter: every playful design choice had to earn its place, and nothing was allowed to slow down the checkout that pays for it all.
What we built
- A custom Shopify theme designed around the brand's pastel identity rather than a stock template with the colours swapped.
- Products, variants and bundles set up properly, with the merchandising that nudges a one-patch order toward a bundle.
- Australian checkout done right. Shopify Payments and Afterpay, configured for the way young Australian shoppers actually pay.
- A mobile-first flow tuned for social traffic: the store assumes a phone, a thumb and about eight seconds of patience.
Design and build notes
Brand-led stores usually fail in one of two directions: so minimal the personality dies, or so decorated the pages crawl. The discipline here was treating the brand as a layer over a rigorously boring foundation: fast theme code, clear product photography, standard e-commerce patterns where shoppers expect them. The result is a store that feels like the brand on the surface and behaves like a conversion machine underneath. That is the approach we bring to every Shopify build.
