Privacy Policy
Last updated: 14 September 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Ignite Studio (“we”, “us”, “our”), a web design agency based in Sydney, Australia, collects, uses, stores and protects your personal information when you visit our website or get in touch with us. We handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).
Who we are
Ignite Studio (ABN 93 363 892 683) is a web design and SEO studio serving businesses in Sydney and across Australia. You can reach us any time at info@ignitestudio.com.au.
Information we collect
We only collect what we need to answer your enquiry and deliver our services:
- Information you give us. When you fill in our quote form, or email us, we collect your name, email address, phone number (the form's phone field is optional, so only if you choose to give it), your current website if you share it, and anything you write in your message.
- Information collected automatically. Like most websites, we collect basic technical data such as your IP address, browser and device type, the pages you view and how you arrived at our site. This is collected through cookies set by Google Analytics and Google Ads (see below).
- How you found us. If you arrive from one of our Google ads or a link with campaign tags, your browser stores the ad click identifier (such as gclid) and campaign parameters (such as utm_source, utm_medium, utm_campaign and utm_term), together with the page you landed on, the website that referred you and the date. Without those tags it stores just the referring website and landing page. This stays in your browser's local storage for up to 90 days, and if you send a quote request it is sent with your request so we know how you found us.
How we use your information
- To respond to your enquiry and send you a quote.
- To design, build, launch and support your website if you become a client.
- To improve our website, content and services.
- To measure which of our ads and other marketing lead to enquiries.
- To meet our legal and accounting obligations.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for unrelated marketing without your consent.
Cookies, analytics and ad measurement
We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how the site is used, and Google Ads conversion measurement to see which of our ads lead to quote requests, calls and messages. These tools set cookies such as _ga and _ga_* (Google Analytics) and _gcl_au (Google Ads), and read the ad click identifier (gclid) when you arrive from one of our ads. This data is processed by Google LLC, which may store and process it outside Australia. We use it to measure our own website and advertising; we don't use cookies to show you ads on other websites.
You can opt out of Google Analytics with the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on, and manage how Google uses your data for ads at adssettings.google.com. You can also control or delete cookies and stored site data in your browser settings. For more detail, see our Cookie Policy.
Who we share it with
We only share your information with trusted service providers who help us run our business, such as website hosting, email, analytics and advertising measurement providers (including Google), and only so they can perform their service for us. We may also disclose information if required by law.
Overseas storage
Some of our service providers may store data on servers located outside Australia. For example, Google Analytics and Google Ads data is processed by Google LLC, which may be outside Australia. Where that happens, we take reasonable steps to ensure your information is handled securely and consistently with the Australian Privacy Principles.
How we keep it safe
We take reasonable steps to protect your personal information from misuse, loss and unauthorised access, including secure hosting and access controls. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, but we work to protect your data at every step.
Your rights
You can ask us to access or correct the personal information we hold about you at any time by emailing info@ignitestudio.com.au. If you have a concern about how we have handled your information, contact us first and we will do our best to resolve it. You can also contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at oaic.gov.au.
Third-party links
Our site may link to other websites (for example, our clients’ sites). We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those websites, so please review their policies.
Children
Our services are aimed at businesses and are not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The latest version will always be on this page with the date it was last updated.
