In June 2025 the ABS counted 2,023 businesses across the Prestons statistical area, 17.8% more than in 2021. What stands out is size. Of those, 98 employ 20 or more people, almost double the figure for Liverpool's two city-centre statistical areas combined, and 306 turn over $2 million or more. Manufacturing and wholesale trade both make the top six industries, which they don't in Casula, Hinchinbrook or Edmondson Park. Firms like these rarely need a showy site. They need one that answers a buyer's questions quickly and looks as solid as the business behind it.
