In 2016 the Census counted 2,271 people in Edmondson Park. Five years later it was 12,080, and the local business count has grown by almost 80% since 2021. In a suburb this new, few businesses have a long local reputation yet, so a clear website and a verified Google Business Profile are how a young business earns its place.

Accommodation and food services also make the top eight. Roughly 61% of local businesses have no staff, so for most a Launch site plus a well-kept Google Business Profile is the right start, with room to add pages as the client list builds.

Where business happens

Ed.Square, the station and the old army camp

Much of Edmondson Park north of Campbelltown Road was the Ingleburn Army Camp, set up in 1939 and wound down in the late 1990s, and the suburb is named after John Hurst Edmondson, who was posthumously awarded the first Australian Victoria Cross of World War II. Liverpool City Council notes the area spans both the Liverpool and Campbelltown council areas and was rezoned for urban development in 2008, one of the first parts of the South West Growth Area to be planned.

Its commercial centre is Ed.Square, built by Frasers Property and finished in 2021, with Coles, TK Maxx, Event Cinemas, nine mini-majors and 78 specialty stores, plus an eat street. It connects directly to Edmondson Park station, which opened on the South West Rail Link in 2015 with direct trains to Liverpool, Parramatta and the city. Council expects about 25,000 new residents in roughly 8,200 homes over 10 to 15 years.

Professionals meeting across a table

Building for a suburb that's still being built

A business that is only a year or two old needs fewer pages than you'd think, but every one of them has to work.

A brand that looks settled

Plenty of new businesses start with a logo and not much else. A simple set of colours, type and photo style makes a young Edmondson Park business look established from the first visit, and our branding work can run alongside the website so the two match.

Menus and bookings for Ed.Square food businesses

Restaurants and cafes on the eat street need a menu that loads fast on a phone, online bookings and hours that are easy to change. We built that for Afghan Kebab House in South Granville, including a custom CMS the family uses to update the menu, hours and pages themselves.

Nepali and Hindi where it counts

At the 2021 Census, Hindi and Nepali were each spoken at home by about 6% of Edmondson Park residents. If you or your staff speak either, say so on the home page and your Google Business Profile. If you serve those communities, add a page for your main service in that language, worded by you or a translator you trust.

Close enough to meet at Ed.Square

Our base in the Campbelltown and Ingleburn area is a short drive south of Edmondson Park, so meeting at Ed.Square or at your office is easy whenever it helps. Day to day we work over video, and you follow progress on a private preview link, which suits owners who are busy setting up everything else.

Most new businesses here are well served by Launch (from $1,500 inc. GST, roughly three pages, about a week), with Grow from $3,500 when you need more. You can read more about how we approach small business websites, and every project starts with a fixed quote from Sayed within one business day.

Local support worth knowing

Edmondson Park straddles two councils, so both business teams are worth knowing.

Good to know

Edmondson Park web design questions, answered

What should a business opening at Ed.Square in Edmondson Park put on its website?
Start with what a shopper needs to find you inside the centre: your shop number, the nearest entrance or landmark, parking, and the fact that Ed.Square connects directly to Edmondson Park station. Then add a menu or service list, online bookings if you take them and opening hours you can update yourself. Repeat the same name, address and hours in your Google Business Profile so the details match everywhere.
Do you build websites for IT consultants and other professionals in Edmondson Park?
Yes. Professional, scientific and technical services make up 15.3% of businesses in the Edmondson Park area, and computer system design was one of the top five industries residents worked in at the 2021 Census. A consultant's site needs a clear statement of what you do, credentials, examples you're allowed to share and a simple booking link for a first call. That usually fits in three to six pages.
Which council should my Edmondson Park business deal with?
It depends on where your premises sit. Edmondson Park spans the Liverpool and Campbelltown council areas, so planning and other council matters may sit with either one. Liverpool City Council suggests an address search on its ePlanning portal and a Section 10.7 planning certificate to confirm zoning. Both councils offer free business support, and links to each are further down this page.
Will my website need to grow as Edmondson Park does?
Probably, so it's worth building with that in mind. Council expects around 25,000 new residents in about 8,200 homes over 10 to 15 years, and the new Edmondson Park High School, for up to 800 students, was scheduled to open in Term 1, 2027. A site that starts with three pages can add service pages, bookings or a second language later. At handover we show you how to keep text and photos current yourself.
