Cabramatta pulls in visitors from all over Sydney. Council puts Moon Festival attendance at 80,000 people for the Sunday celebrations, and many visitors plan their day on a phone: a dish, a fabric shop, an opening time. We build websites that answer those searches for Cabramatta businesses, in Vietnamese and English where it helps.

Retail is what sets Cabramatta's numbers apart. Construction is still the largest group in the ABS statistical area covering Cabramatta and Lansvale (362 businesses), but retail comes second with 275, and accommodation and food accounts for 164, or 7.1%, a bigger share than in neighbouring Fairfield. The area had 2,313 businesses at June 2025, 13.2% more than in 2021. About 51% have no employees, and 99% employ fewer than 20. That mix calls for compact, quick sites: a menu or product page, opening hours, a map and one tap to call.

Where business happens

From Freedom Plaza to the arcades

John Street is the main thoroughfare, and Freedom Plaza forms the pedestrian mall between John and Arthur Streets, watched over by the lion sculptures of the Pai Lau gateway, opened in 1991. Around them run the arcades and lanes where much of the trading happens, among them Belvedere Arcade, Dutton Lane, Ingal Way and Viet Hoa Arcade. Council's own Dutton Plaza, opened in 2016, adds 31 shops and 275 car spaces.

Council counts more than 60 eateries serving food from Vietnam, Thailand, Laos and Cambodia, and Sydney's tourism site sends visitors here for fabric and haberdashery as well as food. Cabramatta station is about 45 minutes from Central, and council recommends the train on festival days. A visitor stepping off that train with a saved list is exactly who your website should be talking to.

Colourful hand-drawn website wireframe sketches on paper

Built for menus, opening hours and festival weekends

Cabramatta businesses rarely need a big site. They need a few pages that stay current and work in the languages their customers read.

Menus as real text

A photo of a laminated menu can't be searched, translated or read properly by Google. We set out your dishes as text with prices and photos, so someone searching for pho in Cabramatta can land on your page, and you can change a price yourself in a minute.

Vietnamese pages for the regulars

Vietnamese is spoken at home by 43% of Cabramatta residents, and Cantonese and Khmer are common too. A Vietnamese version of your menu, hours and location pages, worded by you or a translator you trust, suits customers who read Vietnamese more comfortably than English, while English pages catch the visitors who come in from elsewhere in Sydney.

Notices you control

The Moon Festival closes the town centre to traffic, and Lunar New Year fills Freedom Plaza, Park Road and Arthur Street. We make your hours, notices and specials easy to edit before those weekends, so your site and your Google listing tell customers the same thing.

Planning your website around the festival calendar

Fairfield City Council describes the Cabramatta Moon Festival as NSW's biggest South-East Asian festival, with close to 100 stalls; in 2026 it ran on Sunday 20 September. Council's Lunar New Year festival fills Freedom Plaza, Park Road and Arthur Street early in the year. A site that goes live a few weeks before either event gives Google time to find it, and gives you time to sort your Google Business Profile with some local SEO groundwork.

Restaurants that take bookings can borrow from our Afghan Kebab House build. That family-run restaurant in South Granville got online table bookings and a custom CMS that lets the family update its menu, hours and pages themselves.

Local support worth knowing

Council runs both festivals as well as its business programs, and two of its pages are worth bookmarking.

Good to know

Cabramatta web design questions, answered

Should my Cabramatta restaurant website be in Vietnamese, English or both?
Usually both. Vietnamese is the main language at home for about 43% of Cabramatta residents, while visitors from elsewhere in Sydney may not read Vietnamese at all. We generally build English as the base, then add Vietnamese versions of the pages that matter most: menu, hours, location and bookings. You or a translator you trust supply the Vietnamese wording, and we build it into the site. Cantonese or Khmer pages can come later if your customers ask for them.
Can I change my menu and festival trading hours myself?
Yes. Every site comes with a handover so you can make everyday changes, and for food businesses we set dishes, prices and hours up as simple fields rather than images. That means you can post Moon Festival trading hours or a Lunar New Year set menu the morning you decide on it, without waiting on us.
How much is a website for a small Cabramatta shop or eatery?
For a single shop or eatery, our Launch package is often plenty: about three pages (home, menu or products, and contact with a map) from $1,500, live in around a week. A grocer or fabric store that wants to sell online can step up to an online store from $5,500, built in two to three weeks. Grow sits in between, from $3,500. Each is a fixed price, GST included.
Do you work with Lansvale businesses as well as Cabramatta?
Yes. Lansvale shares an ABS statistical area with Cabramatta, and our work covers the whole of Fairfield City. We're based in Macarthur, a short drive away, so we can meet near John Street or at your premises when that helps. The rest happens on video calls, with a private link where you can watch the site take shape, so the kitchen doesn't have to stop for a meeting.
