The NSW Government's Western City District Plan names Narellan a strategic centre. Camden Valley Way carries a shopping centre of more than 220 stores, the upgraded Narellan Road heads east to Campbelltown, and the Smeaton Grange industrial estate sits next door. Independent businesses here compete with national brands for the same local searches.

The ABS counted 1,408 businesses in the statistical area covering Elderslie and Narellan in June 2025, 13.6% more than in June 2021. Half have no employees. Construction is the largest group at 337, and health care (139) outnumbers retail (86). Accommodation and food services makes the top eight with 62 businesses, and 142 firms turn over $2 million or more. That spread calls for two kinds of site: a lean one that wins calls for a sole trader, and a fuller one with menus, bookings or trade information for the larger operators.

Where business happens

Camden Valley Way, Narellan Road and Smeaton Grange

Narellan Town Centre at 326 Camden Valley Way opened in 1995 with a Woolworths and grew in stages. A $200 million redevelopment in 2017 added more than 100 stores and a 38-metre pedestrian bridge over Camden Valley Way. The centre now has over 220 stores, with Big W, Kmart, Target, Coles and United Cinemas among its tenants.

Narellan Road carries traffic east. Its $152 million upgrade covers about 6.8 km from Camden Valley Way to Blaxland Road, Campbelltown, and the final stage opened in April 2018. Off Narellan Road, Smeaton Grange is the precinct that Camden Council's planning controls name as the principal area for employment generation in Camden, with a mix of lot sizes for industrial uses.

Matching the site to the street

Narellan's businesses run from food court counters to factory units, so the right website depends on where yours sits.

Cafés and restaurants

Put the menu, hours and booking button on the page as real text, not a photographed board. For Afghan Kebab House we built online table bookings and a custom CMS so the family can change the menu and hours themselves, which suits any Narellan venue whose specials change weekly.

Suppliers and makers in Smeaton Grange

Trade buyers want specifications, capability statements, delivery areas and a quick way to request pricing. A plain product range page with downloadable spec sheets often does more than a glossy homepage, and it helps the site rank for the exact parts and services people search for.

Services near Narellan Town Centre

Hairdressers, clinics and tutors near the centre need clear directions, parking notes and a booking or call button that works with one thumb. Our packages and pricing page shows what each level includes, so you can choose the smallest one that does the job.

Plans for Narellan's centre

Council endorsed its Project Narellan Vision and Action Plan on 14 October 2025. The first focus is public spaces and renewing the high streets, and the plan commits Council to advocate for a Narellan rail station, an extension of the Camden Bypass and the second stage of Spring Farm Parkway. Those transport projects depend on other levels of government, so a website that's easy to update is the safer bet while the centre changes around it.

The 2021 Census counted 3,358 people in the suburb of Narellan, with a median age of 36. Most residents (87.1%) spoke only English at home, and the most common other languages, Spanish (1.1%) and Arabic (0.9%), were each used by about one person in a hundred. For most Narellan businesses, one well-written English site is the right starting point.

Local support worth knowing

Good to know

Narellan web design questions, answered

Is a website worth it for a small business in Smeaton Grange?
Usually, yes, because many buyers check a supplier online before they ring. A Smeaton Grange manufacturer or trade supplier rarely needs a big site. Four to six pages covering what you make or service, the industries you supply, delivery areas and a quote request will do more than a long brochure, especially if each page is written around the terms customers actually search for.
Why doesn't my Narellan café show up on Google Maps?
The usual causes are an unverified or incomplete Google Business Profile, an address that doesn't match the one on your website, or a category that's too broad. Inside a large centre like Narellan Town Centre, the exact shop number and entrance details matter too. Our article on why a business doesn't show on Google Maps walks through each fix.
What's the cheapest sensible website for a Narellan sole trader?
Our Launch package, from $1,500 inc. GST, covers about three pages and takes roughly a week. Half the businesses in the Elderslie and Narellan area have no employees, and for most of them that's enough: a homepage, a services page and a contact page with a click-to-call button. You can move up to Grow, from $3,500, when you need more pages.
Will the proposed Narellan rail station change what my website should say?
Not yet. Camden Council is advocating for a station at Narellan, but it depends on decisions by other levels of government and its timing is uncertain. Describe the transport that exists today, such as parking and the bus links to Campbelltown and Oran Park. If the station is confirmed later, a site with a simple editor lets you add directions and a new location page yourself.
